HAIL HYDRA
I have been a loyal user of Bioderma Sensibio H2O after receiving a sample bottle from my Glambox welcome box centuries ago. But during our last holiday, the bottle I carried with me cracked and spilled during transit and the pharmacy near our hotel only had the Bioderma Hydrabio H2O available. I still decided to purchase it as an alternative and have never looked back since. It's the same formula as the Sensibio, but more hydrating and doesn't feel heavy at all. I love the fact that this solution micellaire is also fragrance free and very gentle, so it doesn't sting when applied to the skin.
The power of cleansing oil has been uncharted territories for me until recently. It used to frustrate me a lot whenever I would run my fingers over the sides of my nose and feel how cracked and dry they were no matter how much moisturizer I put on. My skin has greatly improved now thanks to Shu Uemura's Porefinist Anti-Shine Fresh Cleansing Oil. I use three to four pumps of this product every night to cleanse my face and it works wonders in melting away my make-up that normally I would struggle to remove. The pump can be quite tricky to use at first since product tends to squirt in all directions but I've finally gotten the hang of it after repeated use. It's also a bit pricey, but definitely worth it!
INTO THE WILD
I am a huge fan of double cleansing especially during the night due to my sensitive skin. Removing all the day's dirt and make-up has become a prerequisite for me to get a good night sleep. Otherwise, I'd end up being haunted the next morning by instant breakouts. My current facial wash of choice after using my cleansing oil is VLCC Wild Turmeric Gentle Clarifying Face Wash. This is one of the very few facial wash products out there that doesn't break out my skin because of its supposed gentle formulation of turmeric and honey. I also love that you don't need to use a lot since it lathers really well and leaves your skin feeling soft and squeaky clean. Rinsing off the suds can be a labor, so patience is key. And did I say this cleanser is also soap free? :)
WIPE IT UP
I have lost count how many times I have sworn off waterproof mascaras and eyeliners because they're just a pain to remove. But now I am back to strutting them on the daily and I have Johnson's Face Care Moisturizing Cleansing Wipes for Dry Skin to thank for it. These humble wet wipes provide extra moisture, suited to my sensitive skin, and easily wipes off even my most waterproof mascara like nobody's business. Win!
NO SH*T MIRACLE SHEETS
There's nothing quite like lying down on your bed after a long tiring day and taking ten blissful minutes of silence and meditation with a skin nourishing facial mask on. And in this scorching Dubai summer, it's truly a luxurious experience you can get regularly without breaking the bank. My runaway favorites on this front are the Real Nature Masks of The Face Shop especially the Aloe Vera variant. I have hoarded tons of these miracle essence sheets in Hong Kong which could probably last me the entire year. It's so amazing how my skin feels brighter, renewed, and supple right away. It's definitely an inexpensive instant pick-me-upper for the skin.
